Gallery 1: 10. Ottawa Leaves (October 2006 in Ottawa, Ontario)
12x18 inches. Canon Rebel XT with Canon 35 mm lens; 1/90 second; f/11; ISO 200.
I photographed these leaves in a gutter close to the Centre Block of
Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario. It was an overcast day, and my
children were nearby, climbing inappropriately on a metal lion that forms
part of the base of a large statue of Queen Victoria. I spent a lot of time
manipulating this image in Photoshop to try to get it to look the way I
remembered the leaves (saturating, adjusting colour, sharpening, etc.).
