Gallery 1: 19. White Orchid (January 2007 in
Toronto)
12x18 inches. Canon Rebel XT with
Canon 35 mm lens; 1/90 second; f/4.5; ISO 400.
We got this white orchid for my spouse around Christmas and it lasted for
months, with several beautiful white flowers. I tried to photograph it in a
variety of ways, but the approach that I settled on for this image was to
position the flower so that light was shining through its petals from the
back. I then adjusted the image in Rawshooter and Photoshop to further
lighten it.
